Teahouse will be approximately 16 - 20 chapters long.

18 + material (i.e. any naughty bits or hardcore sex) is only shown in the printed edition of our comic, as a thank you to our fans who support us! :)

How does Linneus identify?
Linneus identifies as a gay man who loves jewelry with all of his huge pink heart. Linneus is not transgender.

We apologize to anyone who's taken anything we've said about Linneus as offensive. We know he's not transgender, but we understand that not everyone has realized that. Again, sorry for the confusion, we never meant to offend anyone.

Why do you say Mercutio is gross?
Because he is. At his very deepest core, Mercutio is a gross creeper, and he knows it. This has nothing to do with fetishes and everything to do with state of mind.

Mercutio could walk into the kitchen at night in his pajamas, but he came in wearing a pink robe, face mask and hair curlers. Mercutio goes out of his way to do things that get a reaction out of the people around him.

ORDERING

What are the accepted forms of payment?
All credit/debit cards are accepted, as well as Paypal. No checks or money orders.

How do I know if my order has gone through?
Shark Robot will send you an order confirmation email to let you know your order has been received.

How long does order processing take?
Order processing takes 2-3 days. You will receive a confirmation email when you order, and a confirmation email when your order has shipped.

How does the charge show up on my bill/statement?
The charge will show up as "Shark Robot." Don't worry, it won't show up as "PORN PORN PORN."

SHIPPING

How much is shipping?
The cost of shipping has a lot of factors, including where you are and how much you are buying. For a definite price on shipping, you can use the shipping calculator toward the end of the checkout process. Shark Robot offers first class, priority, and express mail for domestic and international customers. International customers who spend over $60 get free shipping!

Here's a quick rundown for estimated shipping costs:

How long does shipping take?
The amount of time shipping takes depends on what type of shipping you chose. Shark Robot offers first class, priority, and express for both domestic and international customers.

What service do you ship through?
Teahouse orders are shipped via the USPS.

How do I know if my order has shipped?
You will receive a confirmation email to the email you checked out with when your order has shipped.

Is tracking provided?
Unfortunately tracking is not provided on most shipping, for both domestic and international customers. The only service where tracking is provided is through express shipping.

How are orders packaged/how do they arrive?
Orders are packaged in basic envelopes with a return sticker addressed to "Shark Robot." Don't worry, we won't draw penises all over your packages. Unless you really want us to.

I entered the wrong shipping address, help!
Don't panic! Just shoot an email to sharkrobotshipping@gmail.com and let them know your name, order number, and what email you used to place the order, and please include the shipping address you'd like it changed to. Response time can take up to 3 business days so please be patient!

Do you mark "gift" on international customs forms?
Shark Robot does indeed mark "gift" on customs forms- this helps keep custom costs down. It is different depending on the country you live in, but generally marking "gift" will help take care of unwanted costs.

LOST/DAMAGED ITEMS

Who do I contact about orders and how log is the response time?
Contact sharkrobotshipping@gmail.com about your orders. There is a dedicated customer service representative who spends her days answering emails! But she has a lot to go through, so please allow 3 business days for her response time. If you haven't heard back in 7 business days, please shoot us an email at teahousecomic@gmail.com. When sending emails about your orders, please remember to include your name, order number, and email you used to place the order.

My order hasn't arrived/there's a problem with my order.
If you have received your order but it's wrong or damaged, please do not hesitate to email sharkrobotshipping@gmail.com. Please keep in mind that response time is 3 business days.

If you suspect your order might be lost, please make sure that:

you've received your shipping confirmation email
you've waited at least a week for domestic and a month for international from the time you received your shipping confirmation

If you've done the above, please email sharkrobotshipping@gmail.com and remember to include your name, order number, and email you used to place the order.

STORE POLICIES

What is the return policy?
Shark Robot has a 30 day return policy from when you received your order in the mail. Return and exchange information can be found here.

Does the store have an age policy?
On items that are marked as 18+ only we require the buyer to be at least18 years of age. By adding these to your cart you are acknowledging that you are 18 or older.

Do you have any advice for creating a webcomic?
There are a ton of people on-line who have really nice in-depth tutorials on this so we'll keep it simple.

1. Do some planning first. i.e. Plot out the major events in your story, your release schedule, and whether or not you want to print your comic so that you can pick your page format.

2. Just do it.

For all the advice anyone could ever give you on the technical aspects of a webcomic, the hardest part will always be the actual act of making the comic. So if you're serious about it, spend some time planning and then dive in.

What program do you draw / color in?
Teahouse is drawn, inked and colored using Photoshop. E uses Photoshop CS5 for drawing and inking, CC also uses Photoshop CS5 for coloring.

Do you use reference and where do you get it?
Yes, we use a lot of reference image for the male body. Vish Studio is a great resource for different shapes and body types for men, as well as having great muscle and pose references.

How do you design outfits / rooms / etc?
For character outfits, I try to reference Victorian and Edwardian style clothing as well as modern and couture clothing. Since Teahouse is fantasy, it doesn't necessarily have to stick to one style, but in general we try to keep it in the vicinity of Victorian to keep things more consistent.

For rooms, we reference Victorian rooms frequently, as well as Art Nouveau and Deco architecture and design.

Did you go to art school?
CC: I went to a state school on a scholarship. You don't need art school, just a few art classes and the willingness to do a lot of art in your spare time. You're going to get what you put into it, so just make sure you're willing to put seven days a week twenty hours a day into it and you'll be fine. :)

E: I, however, did go to art school, but I agree completely with everything CC said. So many of my classmates don't have jobs or just skated by because they did the bare minimum. The most important thing is that you put your all into it and work hard to improve. Going to art school isn't a requirement for getting a job in the arts, most of the time employers won't even care, they just want to see your portfolio and what you can do. Use your school as a networking opportunity and a chance to jump start your career as you are still learning and improving your technique!

Can you draw me a reference sketch of someone's outfit?
Sadly we don't have time to draw reference for everyone's cosplay outfit. If you can't find it in the online comic or on our Tumblr, we probably don't have drawings of it available. In that case, use this as an excuse for artistic interpretation!

Can I draw fanart of your characters, print out your sketches to color, or post Teahouse fanart I've done?

Who is Emirain? What does it mean?
"Emirain" is the artist group name of two people (E and CC) and is a combination of our real names. Both E and CC created the story and characters, CC writes the script, E pencils and inks, and CC colors.

What are your day jobs?
Both of us are freelance illustrators that used to work in comics. E moved on to freelance illustration outside of comics, and CC is currently going back to school for screenwriting. Teahouse takes up a big chunk of our time nowadays though :)
